The Hit Lab Journal: Bridging the gap between instructor, player, and parent
Introducing the first ever Hit Lab training blog, written by our staff. Our intention with this blog is to bridge the gap between instructor, player, and parent. We also hope to educate everyone on how we train, why we train that way, and also grasp simple concepts within hitting.
Who is this for?
This blog is for athletes and parents in the Hit Lab community. Whether you currently train with us, have trained with us in the past, or have plans to train with us in the future, we hope there are bits and pieces of information that help you along your baseball journey.
The WHY
We are creating this blog because we feel it is the best way for us to spread our thoughts to the masses. Our Hit Lab community has grown to thousands of people, and we want to continue to spread information and provide value as best we can.
Throughout this blog we will cover various topics that we find important in hitting and training. We will also be open to hearing everyone's thoughts on other topics that they would like to hear from us on. Topics for us will come up daily through our lives as instructors and baseball coaches. Our plan is to stick to a biweekly posting schedule. Some topics that will be included are listed below.
Topics Coming to the Hit Lab Journal
Hit Lab Training: Our Phases
Developing a 2 strike approach
Situational Hitting
Understanding Swing Decisions : Leverage, 2k, and 3-2 Counts
